New Nepalese Restaurant ‘Sewaro’ Joins the Love Food

The Love Food complex in Lockmeadow is proud to welcome its newest member, Sewaro, a vibrant new food outlet bringing authentic Nepalese cuisine to the heart of Maidstone.

Owned by local couple Priti Limbut and Ishwor Gurung from Barming, Sewaro is a passion project 15 years in the making. After saving and planning for over a decade, the couple have left their jobs to pursue their dream of sharing the rich and distinctive flavours of Nepal with the community.

Sewaro’s menu features much-loved Nepalese dishes such as Momo (steamed dumplings), Pani Puri, Chicken Shapale (fried meat pies), and other authentic recipes that reflect Nepal’s unique culinary heritage—a bold and aromatic blend of Indian and Chinese influences. Chef Priti, a long-time food enthusiast, said:

“We think that all of Maidstone should enjoy our Nepalese favourites, and I’m excited to bring my food to Maidstone. Cooking is my passion, and nothing makes me happier than sharing my culture through food.”

Sewaro joins the Love Food collective at Lockmeadow, a food hall with a difference. Built on a strong ethos of community, sustainability, and celebrating diverse cultures, the complex brings together independent food brands, supporting passionate local entrepreneurs and enriching the town’s culinary landscape.

The ethos of Love Food is centred around bringing people together—celebrating the stories behind every dish and supporting family-run businesses like Sewaro. With a focus on sustainable practices, local partnerships, and inclusive dining, the complex aims to create a space where food is not just consumed, but truly experienced.
